Antonín Dvorak – 8th September 1865. World-renowned Bohemian composer, Dvořák is loved for his rich harmonies and folk-inspired melodies. His New World Symphony remains one of the most frequently performed symphonic works today.
Girolamo Frescobaldi – 9th September 1583. A master of the organ, Frescobaldi was a key figure in early Baroque music. His expressive and intricate keyboard compositions influenced many composers who followed, including J.S. Bach.
George Gershwin – 26th September 1898. One of the most famous American composers of all time, Gershwin brilliantly blended classical music with jazz. Pieces like Rhapsody in Blue and An American in Paris showcase his unique style and lasting influence.
Gustav Holst – 21st September 1874. An English composer and trombonist, Holst is best known for The Planets, a powerful orchestral suite that captures the character of each planet in our solar system through music.
Johann Pachelbel – 1st September 1653 (baptism date). A very popular German composer, best known for his famous Canon in D, Pachelbel’s music has stood the test of time and remains a favorite at weddings and concerts around the world.
Jean-Philippe Rameau – 25th September 1683. Rameau brought color and complexity to music theory and composition, particularly his harpsichord pieces and operas. leaving a lasting impact on French Baroque music.
