Max Bruch – 6 January 1838. German Bruch was a teacher, conductor and a composer.

Muzio Clementi – 23 January 1752. Clementi was an Italian composer, pianist, conductor, music publisher, editor, and piano manufacturer

Frederick Delius – 29th January 1862. Delius was an English composer whose childhood home was often visited by famous musicians.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – 27 January 1756. Born in Salzburg, Mozart remains one of the most popular classical composers.

Giovanni Battista Pergolesi – 4 January 1710. Pergolesi was an Italian Baroque composer whose famous works include Stabat Mater.

Franz Schubert – 31 January 1797. Schubert was an Austrian composer who produced a huge array of works despite dying young.

Alexander Scriabin – 6 January 1872. Scriabin was a Russian composer and pianist.

Sebastián Yradier – 20 January 1809. Yradier is one of the very few Basque composers.
