Recently Added Sheet Music – 15 June 2018

By | June 18, 2018

Anne has added three new arrangements to Music Scores this week.

Two are additions to last weeks solo piano arrangements of The Hungarian Dance from Coppelia by Czardas and include a piano duet and the Cello

The third arrangement is by Brahms –  St Anthony Choral: Op56 for the Piano

Originally Joseph Hayden wrote The Variations on a Theme, however it is now also called Saint Anthony Variations, composed in 1873 by Johannes Brahms.  This is a work in the form of a theme and variations.

It includes a theme in B major based on a “Chorale St Antoni”, eight variations, and a finale.

Anne’s arrangement is the Chorale only, and is suited to Weddings as the length is ideal in the time it takes the bridge to walk down the aisle at the beginning of a wedding.

Click onto the names of the composers for examples of each version of the Chorale on the piano. (apologies for the adverts).  See which version you prefer.
