No.2 &#8211; Song without Words<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<strong>by Felix Mendelssohn<\/strong><\/em>.<\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.music-scores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/440px-Mendelssohn_Bartholdy.jpg\" alt=\"This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 440px-Mendelssohn_Bartholdy.jpg\" width=\"159\" height=\"227\" \/>Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847) was a German pianist, organist and composer over the early Romantic period.\u00a0 Song for Words was one of his most famous solo piano pieces and its popularity may be attributed to the fact that its within the grasp of pianists of varying abilities.<\/p>\n<p>Song for Words was written at various points in Mendelssohn&#8217;s life between the years of 1829 and 1845. The first book was published by Vincent Novello, an English musician in 1832.<\/p>\n<p>The songs were written as a series of 8 books each consisting of 6 short lyrical piano pieces.\u00a0 Op. 53 is the name for book 4 and No. 2 is Allegro non troppo (E<span class=\"music-symbol\"><span class=\"music-flat\">\u266d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0major).<\/p>\n<p>Mendelssohn refrained from putting words to the songs and opposed it when his\u00a0friend Marc-Andr\u00e9 Souchay wanted to do this.<\/p>\n<p>Many people find this to be a very relaxing piece of music.\u00a0 So if you are a member of a band \/ orchestra or have friends who are a trumpeters or trombonists why not give this a try?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good Morning This week Anne has added a new arrangement for\u00a02 trombones and 2 trumpets of\u00a0\u00a0Op 53.
