Two additional arrangements of the Hungarian Dance from the ballet Coppelia.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Delibes: Czardas: The Hungarian Dance from Coppelia\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.music-scores.com\/midi.php?sheetmusic=Delibes_Coppelia_Hungarian_Dance_Viola\">Viola &amp; Piano<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.music-scores.com\/midi.php?sheetmusic=Delibes_Coppelia_Hungarian_Dance_Violin\">Violin &amp; Piano<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The third arrangement is by Jacques Offenbach, a German born French\u00a0composer from the Romantic Period,\u00a0 known for his many operettas and opera &#8216;Tales of the Hoffmann&#8217;, to which he unfortunately died prior to it opening.\u00a0\u00a0Act three to which this arrangement if from was not included in the operas debut performance.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Offenbach: Barcarolle &#8220;Belle nuit o nuit d&#8217;amour&#8221;: from Tales of Hoffmann (Act 3)<br \/>\n<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.music-scores.com\/midi.php?sheetmusic=Offenbach_Hoffmann_Barcarolle_pno\">Piano Solo<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.music-scores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Jacques_Offenbach_by_Nadar.jpg\" alt=\"This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Jacques_Offenbach_by_Nadar.jpg\" width=\"136\" height=\"209\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Barcarolle &#8220;Belle nuit o nuit d&#8217;amour <em>(Beautiful night, oh night of love)<\/em> opens Act three; Giulietta.\u00a0 Here is a brief overview.<\/p>\n<p>Act three depicts the scene when Hoffmann falls madly in love with Giulietta and is sure\u00a0 that his love is reciprocated.\u00a0 However this is not the case, she is under orders from the poet, Dapertutto to steal Hoffmann&#8217;s reflection from a mirror in return for a diamond.<\/p>\n<p>A previous victim who lost his shadow to Giuletta and\u00a0Dapertutto challenges the poet to a duel but is killed.<\/p>\n<p>Hoffmann&#8217;s friend Nicklausse tries to take Hoffmann away, but Hoffmann cannot resist Giulietta and gives her his reflection.\u00a0 Devastated she leaves him as soon as she gets the reflection.<\/p>\n<p>Hoffmann tells\u00a0Dapertutto that his friend\u00a0Nicklausse will save him, so\u00a0Dapertutto prepares a poison to kill him but Giuletta drinks it in error and dies in the poet&#8217;s arms.<\/p>\n<p>Crime does not pay in the end!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anne has added three new arrangements to the site this week.
