Anthony Wakefield was born in Lancashire in 1942. Taking up the clarinet and piano, his studies took him to gain performing and teaching diplomas (clarinet) at the Royal and London Colleges of Music. Further studies in composition and orchestration with Gordon Reynolds and Leon Young. His compositions have brought him two awards (1996/1997) both from the Clarinet and Saxophone Society of Gt Britain, and his music will shortly be heard on forthcoming new updates of "Sibelius" (software) for Mac. and P.C. As an arranger/orchestrator, his work has taken him into the recording studio and concert halls with the London Symphony Orchestra. RPO, and the BBC Concert and Radio Orchestras. He composed the Title music for "The Battle for the Falklands" video, produced by I.T.N./Granada.
